i think a starting point for fixing company taxes in the US is to instead of fiddling with the tax amount, make it so that they can only move a certain amount of money overseas inversely proportional to their percentage of stock owned

this should scale with company size, but not as fast as the company grows

that way as a company grows it gets to untax a smaller and smaller amount of its wealth

the reason why im not suggesting to outright ban moving money overseas is that its sometimes necessary and stock buybacks are a problem
