how does one set the layer of their map to specifically Caverns (not lava layer, but under the Underground layer) ?
I have no clue how that's done

& well it also depends on what game you are making your map for as it may not have world-info supported but

When scrolling through properties page for parkour, the world-info section here has some stuff

There's more stuff in the section for other world-info properties but the underground specific ones you prolly want just to set the map to the caverns are these two

You'll prolly also want to adjust paste-range accordingly too. You should be able to find documentation for that somewhere too, or you can ask others in mapedit for help
