Hey everyone,

I currently have a MakerPi P2 with a build volume of 260mm x 260mm x 260mm. It’s somewhat similar to an Ender 3, and I’m using PrusaSlicer for slicing at the moment.

I’m looking to set up a print farm with this printer, but I’ve run into an issue: I don’t have looping software, and I can’t figure out how to automate the process of sweeping prints off the bed.

If anyone is familiar with coding for Marlin firmware, I’d greatly appreciate your help. Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:

Move the print head up by 10mm from the printed object.

Move the print head to the very back of the bed.

Lower the print head to about 8mm above the bed.

Move the bed forward to push the printed object off the front.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated! I’ve tried asking ChatGPT, but the responses haven’t been accurate. Thanks in advance for your help!

# harsh willow Hey everyone, I currently have a MakerPi P2 with a build volume of 260mm x 260m...

Interesting idea.
Try searching youtube! I've seen a few for marlin round there.

You'll just want to learn how to use the g1 command (move) and what mode to move it in (g90 or g91) the test it till you get something solid.
For queueing prints, check out octoprint + plugins.

I don't know that i'd fully automate the process, without some side research to prevent damage to the machine (e.g. spaghetti detection \ object detection).
And also being really familiar with your current machine.
