I have a model with axial hinge joint. I can use filament segment as a shaft, but it's not very strong and durable.
I would use metallic shaft but I don't know where to (cheapy) buy it. I looked up on aliexpress but the dimensions are not proper(they all are too shory).
I think I can use some rigid wire as a shaft(but I will have to straighten it out thoroughly)?
Or I can also buy some welding electrodes or knitting/bike needles and cut them? 🤔

Using a rigid wire as a shaft could be a good alternative if you are unable to find a suitable metallic shaft for your axial hinge joint. Make sure to choose a wire that is strong and durable enough to withstand the movement of the joint. Straightening out the wire thoroughly is essential to ensure smooth functioning of the joint. Welding electrodes or knitting/bike needles could potentially work as well, but be cautious with cutting them to size as they may require specific tools to do so safely and accurately. If you have access to a hardware store or specialty shop, they might have the appropriate metallic shafts or wires for your project.
