#im struggling to level my bed

The Z offset is a setting in 3D printing that adjusts the distance between the printer's nozzle and the print bed. It is often used to fine-tune the initial layer adhesion and print quality. If you'd like more specific information or assistance with setting the Z offset on your printer, please provide more details about your setup.
And now I can't get the residue off my bed
then i set my thing to -1 and it made an extremely loud noise
Nozzle needs to be a bit further up.
(So less in the negative i think, but direction can vary by printer.
Bit too close.

Keep at it 👌
how do i get residu off
Print over it and itll peel off with the next print
Your bed isnt physically leveled probably (or your X axis gantry is crooked)
Scream, yell,
Get a hair dryer or slightly warm the bed after it cooled and yeah ∆
Oh how i hate leveling
ive done it so many times
i feel like im doing smth wrong
It runs klipper right?
whats a klipper
You can view the bed mesh on the web interface
The firmware
If you put your printer's ip address into a browser
Fluidd
how
Yeah
how does one fix that
With the bed knobs
does that image show which side to change
How did you probe the bed then
Well when it does probe where does it start to probe first
It has to have probed to generate the mesh, I mean when you started the print earlier.
What corner did it probe first?
how do i head the bed
got it
nvm
all good
it just made 2 loud noises while calibrating
like it had gotten stuck on something
Can you take a video of it doing the homing
It wasn't like that before I started messing with it
its not letting me calibrate anymore
It should have generated a new mesh what does it look like
so im trying leveling again and the back left dial doesn't seem to tighten
it completely fell off before and now doesn't seem to work
I got it
it fixed the leveling
@wintry loom how is this one
Still just as bad
how does one fix
But the probe started in the front left right?
I don't remember
Orient the mesh so it looks like this
Once you orient the mesh like that, the knobs correspond to the corners of the mesh
Adjust the corners up and down, mesh again, and keep repeating
is this worse
Rotate it
which way
0,0 at the bottom left
do i want it to be all flat
Did you do what I said?
Its gonna fix your first layer
hows this look
Whats the variance now
whats a variance
The range between highest point to lowest point on the mesh
Its in the bed leveling section
You can reduce the number of mesh points by modifying the config files
how abbout this
yeah im ngl the paper thing in the manual suggestions is just not it
this way is much better
@wintry loom how is this
Almost there
Youre aiming for ideally less than 0.5ish mm in variance
Whats the range now
.25
is there a trick to it
Just raise or lower it until you stop seeing gaps in the first layer.
@wintry loom The printer is now super inaccurate and not seperating the build
Picture?
Im taking a quick break as this has been frustrating
Gotcha, the bed is being probed before the print starts right?
It should heat up the bed, probe the bed, then start the print
It is
The first layer of this print keeps conjoining
Z offset might be a bit low
