Trying to make an mtg deck box lid print, but for some reason it keeps stringing out (I think that is the right term?).

This particular print has done this at least 3 times.

Using PLA black that is fresh out of the bag and had just completed a poop chute and drawer print (though that failed once too).

It sounds like you are experiencing stringing or oozing in your prints, which can be caused by various factors such as printing temperature, retraction settings, and print speed.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check and adjust your retraction settings in your slicer software.
  2. Make sure your filament is properly loaded and not tangled or stuck.
  3. Try lowering the printing temperature slightly to reduce oozing.
  4. Increase travel speed and retraction distance to minimize stringing.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, feel free to provide more details about your printer settings or reach out to the manufacturer for further assistance.

@lofty frost tried a benching and same thing. Temp is only 210

#

It started out making those gloops as it moved into position.

#

Gonna let it cool down and then try swapping filament.

So, filament change didn't make a difference. Actually stopped extruding, so made me think it was a clog. I'm not entirely sure what this dust means, but I hope it's not the gear material?

@prime herald It means that your extruder is making force to filament goes to the nozzle but your nozzle isn't melting the filament what makes it shader the filament and make that dust

#

Did you know how to fix a clog?
