#Artifact in all my prints - Moded ender 3
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It looks like you are experiencing Z-axis banding artifacts in your prints. This issue can be caused by an inconsistency in the Z-axis movement, resulting in visible bands on the print surface.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix this issue:
- Check the Z-axis lead screw and ensure it is properly lubricated and free from any debris.
- Make sure the Z-axis motor and coupler are securely attached and aligned.
- Check the Z-axis stepper motor driver voltage to ensure it is properly calibrated.
- Verify that the Z-axis steps per mm are correctly set in your printer's firmware.
- Consider upgrading to a stiffer Z-axis coupler or adding a Z-axis stabilizer bracket to reduce wobble.
Implementing these steps should help you resolve the Z-axis banding artifacts in your prints.
i have 2 leadscrews installed with oldham coupling @scarlet abyss
if u need more information about anything, printer, filament etc, i would be willing to say it to you, if its helps to solve this, i would be thankful
your case looks like ringing paired with underextrusion. what speeds do you print with?
@ripe gate also does your ender have direct drive or still bowden extruder?
it has direct drive, and for this calibarations test im printing at 90 mm/s
the steps of the extruder are calibrated, when i put 100mm to print, it prints exactly 100 mm, and i just calibrated the flow for this filament, its brand new.
i can make some photos of my printer so you can see the hardware more or less.
have you tried printing slower just to make sure?
also do the y axis wall look good? cant tell from the picture
bouth axys are affected, and yes i have tried printing slower, and the problem still there, idk why, could be a very high presure advance¿
have you tried turning it off for testing?
yes, its worst, th problem start even earlyer
okay, that almost sounds like extruder gear grinding on the filament or the filament has inconsistent diameter across the spool when printing
how could i fix that? the extruder is a bmg bondtech, and its actually really tight
im still dont think its the extruder, have you tried different filaments?
yes i tried two, one from creality and this one that is from smartfill
i just finished the same print, tuning some things from the prfile, and at least it doesnt explode
the creality one printed just fine?
nope, it was the first i tried, and it was the same shit
I tought it could be moisture, due to the water boiling inside the filament that could be popping like bubbles, generating that holes, so i changed the filament to this new one, but now i see that is like a pattern or something like that, idk what can i try next.
what slower speed did you testprint?
60 for interior perimeter 30 for exteerioir perimeters, nothing incredible, and i would say that this velocity is actually slow af
