My supports always fail, same goes for small tiny towers, i am just so loss and have absolutely no idea why it does this. Im following the settings on the filament label and i have it set to 190 degrees temperature and 145mm/s printing speed. The adhesion on the bed is never the issue. Could it be that the support lines are too tiny for the heat maybe? 😭

AI Help
It sounds like your supports are not strong enough to maintain their structure during printing. This can result from insufficient adhesion between layers or poor layer adhesion due to improper settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps to consider:
- Increase the support density in your slicing software to provide more material for each support structure.
- Increase the support line width to make them sturdier and less prone to breaking.
- Consider adjusting your print temperature upwards slightly to improve layer adhesion.
- Check your print speed settings to ensure they are not too fast for the material you are using, as high speeds can lead to weaker supports.
Try these adjustments and see if they improve the strength and reliability of your supports.

What filament are you using
One second ill get it out!
Sunlu High-Speed PLA Filament - 1.75mm - 1kg
this one specifically
oh! and my support overhang is on 30 degrees!
it would do the same at 45
so i thought maybe the angle was the issue yk?
Hmmm could be an issue with the print speed
145 is too fast!?
Possibly
speed pla my ahh
my printer could print supports just fine back then
at 200 mm/s
back then i had the cheap filament instead
is it possible that it just burns the supports mid print?
Everything seems to be printing fine apart from the supports
not just the supports
whenever i print 2x2 wide towers it fails
and prints weirdly
small ones especially
Filament could probably be wet then maybe
You can just put it on your heated bed and cover it with a box
You can try it but i dont think its a temp issue as 190 is recommended for pla
Ok
That is really weird
What nozzle size are you using
please tell me thats something i have to change in ultimaker cura 😭
on the printer itself the z offset is rather tight
You have to do that yourself
By moving the z axis or down
Are you doing the paper test?
yes and then i do it mid print so its adhesion is strong
I wish i had that old filament to test it out
the nozzle also is always dirty after the print is finished i forgot to mention that
i have to constantly clean it
it seriously feels like its a temperature issue since its leaking so much
so when its printing the supports it just leaks halway through and causes mayhem you feel me?
or maybe im wrong
but i can try it out at lower degrees
I have no idea what is going on then
ender 3 are evolving dude
they are creating new issues each day
they have a mind of their own
I will design a small 2mm tower and then do the test :)
first i have to eat sorry
