#Ender 5 Pro problems

I'm back again with my Ender 5 Pro. It was making a plethora of problems and I couldn't think of a reason why. Sometimes it randomly stopped doing what it was and started to print a line in the y axis, sometimes it did spaghetti and sometimes when it started printing that initial line on the side to clean the nozzle it didn't move to the location it needed but it started the whole model in just that one line. And that y axis line and the spaghetti happened usually at the initial first few layers but sometimes it happened at higher layers. And it was a different layer every time. Was using cura but switched to the Creality slicer, then to Prusa and then to Orca and it still kept happening. My brother suggested what if the stepper is the problem but once I mentioned that it's happening on different layers he then thought what if the motherboard is bad. I wanted to reinstall the firmware cause what if but haven't done that yet. Another observation is that some gcodes which were okay before print are okay even now but newer gcodes make those problems. My main question is how do motherboard problems look like? Also ...I bought the printer 3 yrs ago and these things started happening like a year ago but not too often, just enough to notice but usually redoing the gcode solved it. Nothing was changed on the printer, everything is the original except the SD card and that magnetic peel of layer on the bed

AI Help

It sounds like you are experiencing various issues with your Ender 5 Pro, including random stops during printing, printing in the wrong location, and spaghetti prints. These could be caused by a variety of factors, but it's good to rule out simpler issues before assuming it's the motherboard. Here are some troubleshooting steps you could try:

  1. Check the physical connections: Make sure all cables are securely connected, especially those related to the stepper motor and endstops.

  2. Check the stepper motor drivers: If a specific axis is consistently having issues, the stepper driver for that axis might be failing. You could try swapping the drivers around to see if the issue follows a particular driver.

  3. Update firmware: Reinstalling or updating the firmware is a good idea as it can sometimes resolve issues related to software glitches.

  4. Check the SD card: Make sure the SD card isn't corrupted and causing issues with the GCODE files. Try a different SD card or reformat th...

Also an observation that if the printer wasn't turned on for like a month or any longer time and it prints something small it's okay more or less....or when my brother is around cause it never goes wrong when he looks at it

#

Is it something with overheating or something?

#

Oh and sometimes it also just stops printing and sometimes it pushes out filament while it stopped and sometimes not. And when I stop the print through the menu it says autohome failed, please reset

#

And usually before any of the problem happens it makes that little beep sound, the same one which happens when I'm pushing the button when selecting in the menus

#

Aaaand sometimes even layer shift happens...either alone or combined with the mentioned stuff

#

I just printed this can opener and guard and it was just fine (except the stringing but I'm at that point that I don't mind it as long as it prints🥲🥲). The printer wasn't on for like a month
