Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner to 3d printing world, have 0 knowledge besides a few yt videos ive watched.

I was given an Ender 3 V2 by my brother, who made a few mods:

Removed the stock display in order to use a Raspberry Pi 4 (32GB microSD) for printer control instead.
Upgraded the mainboard to a BTT SKR Mini E3 V3.
Installed a '3d touch' (auto bed leveling sensor I think).
The print head assembly looks modified, but I’m not sure exactly how.

There are no other mods that I can see visually.

He flashed Klipper on the printer’s mainboard and told me to flash Klipper on the Pi and connect it. I’ve done that and can access the Mainsail interface, but now I’m stuck.

I understand I need a printer.cfg file. My concern: a default config from GitHub likely won’t match all the mods he made. I don’t have contact with him, so I’m not sure how to account for unknown changes.

My Question: Can someone help me set up the printer.cfg for my printer with these mods? I will add pictures of the printer and the mods—if someone can take a look and guide me from there, that would be amazing.

I don't see why the default wouldnt match, if everything is wired correctly then it should just work with the only thing requiring a bit of tuning being the esteps

Would I not need to configure the bltouch into the printer cfg file?

As I believe that is the only mod that would require tweaking the cfg file, other than that should be fine?

Yes, you can find this information based on other people's configs as a example or set it up by looking at the pinout and klipper config documentation

2 main mods that require more setup, 1 extruders rotation distance will likely be around 4x greater than standard, and 2 everything about the probe, needing bed_mesh, safe_home, and messing with the stepper_z endstop to use it
