#Rough prints

Compete noob here, just bought a second hand CR10s pro.

Initial prints looked nice (on the left), print time estimates in Cura matched actual times.
Then i moved the printer to a different location and, unless inadvertently, did not change any parameter in Cura or Octoprint. Same profile used as before.
Now, the prints are all grubby, with a rough texture (on the right). They also take 4-5 times longer than predicted on Cura

I reinstalled Octoprint, tried with a different filament, no luck. Prints are rough and take a lot of time.

Any suggestions? What else can i try to troubleshoot?

It sounds like the change in print quality and print time discrepancies may be due to a few factors. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to improve your prints:

  1. Check the bed leveling: Ensure that your bed is properly leveled. A warped or unlevel bed can cause poor adhesion and uneven extrusion, leading to rough prints.

  2. Check the nozzle and filament: Make sure your nozzle is clean and free of any debris that may be causing inconsistent extrusion. Also, check the filament diameter to ensure it matches the settings in your slicer software.

  3. Check the temperature settings: Verify that the nozzle and bed temperatures are set correctly for the filament you are using. Incorrect temperatures can result in poor print quality.

  4. Adjust print speed and cooling settings: Try adjusting the print speed and cooling fan settings in your slicer software. Slowing down the print speed or increasing the cooling can sometimes improve print quality.

  5. Update firmware: Make su...

bed has been re-levelled, nozzle looks clean, temperature is fine (200-220 for PLA), speed printing reset to default. Still no change. looking closer, it seems the extruder makes bubbles everytime it changes direction
