I'm having these weird scars when I print PLA or PETG on Flashforge 5M Pro and Qidi Plus 4. I'm using Orca Slicer and Qidi Slicer. Filament on the picture is Polymaker Polylite PETG. Filaments stay always in a dryer during print. What would be reason of this?

The scars on your 3D prints could be due to a few reasons:
-
Over-extrusion: Check your extrusion settings in your slicer software to ensure the correct amount of filament is being extruded.
-
Print Speed: Slow down your print speed to give the material more time to bond properly.
-
Z-Wobble: Check for any wobbling in the Z-axis which can cause uneven layers and inconsistencies in the print.
-
Calibration: Make sure your printer is properly calibrated for the filament you are using.
-
Print Temperature: Ensure you are printing at the recommended temperature for the specific filament you are using.
-
Retraction Settings: Adjust the retraction settings in your slicer to prevent stringing or oozing.
Try adjusting these settings to see if it helps improve the quality of your prints.

Looks like cooling related
What temp and speeds you running at
I need the wall speeds and overhang speeds
Hmm maybe a bit too fast for PETG
Try dropping wall speeds and accels in half
And overhang speeds in half
See if it helps
Thanks for the tip. I'll do it right now.
It's finished. Unfortunately, the artifacts are worse.
still struggling with overhangs badly
what's the fan speed?
Something off

Kinda stumped with this one
My only suggestion would be slow it down more and maybe
check for clogs with a coldpull...?
and
try printing without the dryer..... (incase it's introducing extra tension)
can use pla or petg for this...
Thanks a lot for suggestion. I will slow it down to ~40mm/s
I'm sure there is no clog. Every time I change filament I clean nozzle with cleaning filament. Also, I check flow before I start printing. Weird thing is, this issue doesn't happen if I print with ABS or ASA. I will definitely try printing without dryer.
By the way, I always open doors (front and top) if it's printing PLA or PETG
Second thought, I will do cold pull

I slowed it down to 30-50mm/s and it seems like it improved quality, but if you look at it closely, you can still see artifacts. Slowing the print down didn't solve the problem completely. I tried inner/outer, inner/outer/inner and outer/inner, and best one is inner/outer. I tried to print without dryer. On the picture, bottom one was printed without dryer. It looks to me it was better with dryer.

I’m curious, how does your input shaping graphs look like
I think you can get them from the plus 4, not sure about the 5M
That's half true. You can't get the graph if stock firmware is running.
I've created X and Y input shaper graphs of Qidi Plus 4
Okay ... that's ... bad?
Like very bad
something is off
Esp. in the Y
But let me double check
