Hi, I am trying to slice small teeth for a velociraptor skull using cura and 0.2mm layer height however they seem to be to small for some them and cura can't handle to print all the way to the top and creates floating layers.

Is there a way to hide or remove those layers as I'm fine with them not being printed at all.

Kind regards,
Jordan

Hello Jordan,

Yes, you can hide or remove those layers in Cura by adjusting the slicing settings. You can try increasing the minimum layer time in the Cooling settings or enable the "Enable Print Cooling Fan" option if it's not already on. This might help the layers to cool properly before the next layer is printed, reducing the floating layers issue.

Another option is to manually edit the model to remove the small teeth that are causing the issue if you are fine with them not being printed. You can do this using a 3D modeling software like Blender or Meshmixer.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
