#awful qidi printer still isn't working after like 5 months of issues and attempts

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with your Qidi printer. Troubleshooting technical issues can be challenging, but there are often solutions to common problems. Have you tried seeking help from online forums or communities dedicated to 3D printing? They may be able to offer alternative solutions or workarounds.
the extruder kept clicking
I had a clog at one point
I just ditched the entire hotend and nozzle because I couldn't get it out
and I bought brand new ones
it still clicks
so they say to take the extruder apart
there is nothing wrong and nothing clogging the extruder
the video they sent also doesn't describe the extruder I have
so I can't put it back together
it also doesn't solve the problem in the first place
it just doesn't extrude, random clicking noises when I try
honestly my biggest regret in life is spending my savings on this awful machine
how
is it the extruder tensioner clicking? or is it some kind of stepper motor thing
I assume your printer is a qidi xp3
no it's from the extruder part
yes
this has been such a big issue that I have had 4 previous forums here
about the same thing
damn
I'm looking online for the extruder part wait a bit
can you take an image though of the extruder you have right now
that extruder gear is flipped
that's not how it was in the printer
but I just can't assemble it anyway
the gear wont stay there when I flip it
you have to flip it because the smaller tidbits of that gear is the one that grips the filament
omg now all the bearings are coming out the gears I'm actually gonna die
like I cant do this
beeee careful
but afaik that kind of gear should have a bearing that is collared
try to take one only first
don't think about those
think about what you just removed right now
what fell out, what removed itself. Think about the other things later
now I can't get the spring in
nono. stop first
don't try to make it hard for yourself by trying to do things that isn't calm and planned
@slate ridge can you take an image of this seperately
both of these parts
because I think you really need to remove one of the gears in that
you see this over there
thats where the filament feeds in.
the extruder gear (the silver part, not the black part) is the one that pushes that filament in to the hotend
there's two of them, and those two are on both sides of the channel
take an image without it
I'd like to see first what you're doing. This would make it easier for us to learn what you're doing with it
i need someone to come and fix it
this is stupid
its not possible to wedge the spring perfectly back into place
would you like a video chat?
the spring is in, but now the gears get more friction in one side
how did you assemble it???
I put the spring in and put the bolts on
it's not something you can see in the image it just looks like a normal extruder
and if its wrong, it won't work
try feeding in filament by manually spinning it
also how did I not notice this
You sheared off the plastic pin
that's why its not smooth anymore
or it could be where the shaft on the other side goes
I think that's just a mark in the plastic, molding or something
probably
looks like a break tho
