The calibration fails, after probing 4 times it tries to probe deep into the bed and fails. When homing z axis the head goes too far down and bends to build plate. This is with a z axis offset of 5mm (the max) the blue light on the hotend does turn on eventually and stops the printer, but it happens after its already pushed into the build plate. Any ideas how to fix? It worked for a few prints when i got it but hasnt worked since, its out of warranty .

It sounds like you may be dealing with a Z-axis alignment issue. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

  1. Check and adjust the Z-axis endstop switch to ensure it is triggering at the correct height.
  2. Make sure the Z-axis lead screw is not binding or obstructed in any way.
  3. Check the Z-axis motor and its connections to ensure they are functioning properly.
  4. Check if the Z-axis stepper motor driver on the control board is overheating, as this can cause erratic movements.
  5. Verify that the Z-axis offset in your slicer software matches the physical setup of your printer.

If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to the manufacturer for further assistance or consult online forums for more in-depth troubleshooting.

the kobra 2 neo im pretty sure uses a loadcell as the prob. make sure its plugged in and wiring is in good order.

Otherwise might hav e to replace the whole module. Idt the loadcell is easily replaceable, but i dont have direct experience with that printer
