#Bad first layers (warping?)

Hi,
I recently got a new bambu a1 printer, and have tried to get it printing properly. I have gotten the settings down for the most part, but I still have one problem: the bottom layers seem to warp inward for a few layers. This makes the bottom of the print narrower then the top and the bottom corners very weird and even warp inwards. (I have added pictures, but they're unfortunately not the highest of quality)
I'm not the most experienced in 3d printing and slicer settings, I just want my machine to work 😁.

Maybe someone can help me with this? I use bambu studio with basicly default 0,12mm settings. If anything else is important, I can provide details!

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with bed adhesion, causing the first few layers to warp inward. Here are some steps you can try to improve this issue:

  1. Ensure your printer's bed is leveled properly. This is crucial for good bed adhesion. You can use a piece of paper to check the distance between the nozzle and the bed at different points.

  2. Increase the bed temperature. Warping can occur if the bed is not hot enough to properly adhere the first layers. Try increasing the bed temperature by a few degrees.

  3. Use a brim or raft in your slicing software. Adding a brim or raft can provide extra surface area for the first layers to adhere to the bed, reducing the chances of warping.

  4. Clean your build platform. Sometimes residue from previous prints can affect bed adhesion. Make sure your build platform is clean and free from debris.

  5. Consider using a bed adhesion solution like a glue stick or hairspray. Applying a thin layer of these substances on the bed can he...

warps are usualy slightly off z offset, along with a difference in ambient temps (under AC duct, near window) to my understanding, adding mouse ears as a brim type should help

I'm using pla and the bottom looks quite ok, other then the warping of course

can you see any lines at all in it? most think they have it perfect but it should be slightly closer

Z offset doesn't seem to be a problem, but I'll try printing in I different environment

#

No, I only see the textured sheet pattern

#

But I usually print in a small room with a open window so I'll change that and try again

#

And I also think some kind of Brim would help, although with bambu printers I really shouldn't need one

why i started with mouse ears, but thats a physical thing bambu cant fix, any printer you have to tinker with now and then, its just much less than it was a few years back

Yes, I know, but thats why I chose bambu lab as my new printer, because they try to reduce that time as much as possible

#

I cant print a test part now, but I'll let you know how it went when I can!
