I have an issue where right after I print overhangs, the wall following the overhang is underextruded. I think it may have something to do with the speed difference between the overhang and the following wall and the hotend not being able to keep up. It also shows itself on the sides. Ive tried tuning my volumetric flowrate and also cutting the outside wall speed in half. That seemed to slightly remedy it but im still left with this

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with speed and temperature settings. It's great that you've already adjusted the volumetric flow rate and reduced the outside wall speed. Another thing you can try is increasing the print temperature slightly to help the hotend keep up with the demands of printing overhangs. You could also try enabling features like "coasting" or "linear advance" in your slicer settings to help mitigate underextrusion. Experiment with these settings to see if they improve the print quality.

this was printed tall no? that seems more like a extrusion issue after retraction or a z seam issue, not bridging
Its not bridging just overhangs
and the height of the part is irrelevant
it happens on every part
sometimes on the seam
sometimes on overhangs
The seam was as the top right corner, relative to the image
oh this is a tilted tall thing, not straight off
for one easier thing, have you tuned the retraction distance? should help on the right one
yup
ive done just about every calibration test thats relavent to this issue
flow rate, retraction, max volumetric speed, temp tower, and probably whatever else
pressure advance? dont think that would apply in this case though
yup
heres another picture on another part
you can see it was right after the overhang
i feel like its got something to do with the overhang flow speed, since the overhang looks a bit much, then theres not enough filament to continue afterward
I think that was part of the design
its definently bcs of the speed difference and the hotend not being able to catch up
could try this, seems about 150% of your max flow makes
unfortunatly it seems to affect both sides, not just the after
as well im guessing you are slowing down on overhangs, by how much?
default settings
same as mine almost, probably not that then
ill try the extrusion rate smoother when I can

Okay so I tried extrusion rate smoother. It seemed to have minimal to no effect. But the underextrusion only occurs ~8mm up from the bed, making me thing its a temp issue.
