Hi everyone, I made a post yesterday because my 3D printer was experiencing layer shifting. I did move recently, so this may be the cause. It's Sovol SV06. The first pic is from yesterday.

I got some advice to tighten the belts. And I did this and tried again. I got layer shifting again, but maybe not as bad. Does anyone have advice for what might be causing this or how I can fix it? The second pic is from today.

Note the gashes in the cup are by design.

It's good that you already tightened the belts to try to address the layer shifting. Some other potential causes of this issue could be loose pulleys, insufficient lubrication on the rods, or a loose or misaligned X/Y axis. I recommend checking these components for proper tightness and alignment. Additionally, ensure that the print bed is level and that the print head is not hitting any obstructions. If the issue persists, you may want to consider calibrating the stepper motor drivers or checking for any issues with the G-code for your prints. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more assistance.

# nova glade I tried printed at 65% speed and it worked! I'm thinking maybe the table is shak...

I mean.... I used to print on very wobbly card table and had no issues...
But i experienced layer shifting on a proper sturdy desk (that didnt shake).....because loose belts...

Speed would reduce the force when the belt changes direction, so it's less likely to slip.....but when u go full speed again, it will still shift.

There could be another reason for it shifting, but i would need to know if you've changed anything in the slicer from default.

It's one way to fix it temporarily though 🙂
