#Need help on orca!

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with adhesion, layer adhesion, or cooling. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot:
-
**Bed Leveling: Ensure your bed is properly leveled so that the initial layer adheres well to the bed. You may need to adjust your leveling to get better adhesion.
-
**Extruder Temperature: Experiment with slightly increasing or decreasing the extruder temperature. PLA typically prints well between 190-220°C, so you could try a lower temperature to see if it improves layer adhesion.
-
**Cooling: Your high fan speed (100%) could be causing too rapid cooling, which may impact layer adhesion. Try reducing the fan speed slightly to see if it improves the print quality.
-
**Print Speed: If you are printing too fast, it can also affect layer adhesion. Try reducing the print speed to see if it helps.
-
**Filament Quality: Ensure your PLA filament is good quality and not old or exposed to moisture, as this could affect print quality.

This is how it came out
Split into 3 sections
And that is how it is meant to come out
anyone got a clue on what to do?
orca is driving me nuts
try slowing down your printing speed on the supports and infill to match the outer wall speed...
alright
I dont seem to have that option
only perctange
unless
im in the wrong spot
try under the speed tab
and turn on the advanced switch.
there is. turn on advanced... ^
ok.. did you find it?
i dont know.
you need to test it first with something small.
like xyz cube or benchy
no.....dont do that...
one thing at a time.
change the speed = then test...
if that didnt work.... THEN change the nozzle...and test....
if you suspected it was the nozzle.... why didnt you change that first? 😅
I didn’t suspect it to be the nozzle
Someone responded on Reddit
Saying it’s most likely a nozzle problem
ok... u got the link to the thread...?
yes it can clog, but lets start with speed cos it's easier.
usually clogs aren't in the nozzle anyway... usually further up...
if i remember correctyly you said it worked fine with other slicers right
so it shouldnt be nozzle
well not perfectly
but it didnt do this
the most i had with cura
was just stringing
no
what did you do now
what do you mean?
alright
ok
question
yea
alright
and you can chose lightning for faster printing
is it worth it?
yes, but in this case we are also testing the infill, to see if speed is the issue. infill is usually printed the fastest...
if the hotend can't keep up, it'll string like this too...
whether it allows the printer to get up enough speed to have the same issues, i'm not sure. a baseline is a great idea.
oo fair enough i didnt think that way
but yea it looks like sevear unextrudon
@tame rivet hows the test going
Still not level yet
Haven’t even started
From what I’ve seen on Reddit is that the Ender 5 plus is a pain to level
And so far that’s been my experience
Forgot to mention
Started the print
@knotty holly @sage wind
It’s finished
Let me get a better photo
Yes pls
Hm
Having an issue with photos
The same thing happened though
If I take it off the end
Bed
It will break into multiple parts
But can’t get a photo unless it’s off the bed
Ok give me a minute
Ok now go onto your slicer and scheck infill settings and walls
It should be under strenght section
oh crap
On privious picture it seems you didnt had infill and you only had 1 wall loop
Wput it cca 10
Yes
alright
Start print and i hope i will be still awake when its finnished if its not i will answere tomorow
alright
I hope this will help it should
thank you for your help, will respond when its finished
Ok
Are you near finnish @tame rivet
Something bad happened
Ooo ouuu
Ok thats very interesting
Did you do paper test
wasnt too much
a moderate ammount
I dont use paper for the test
I use a uhhh
one of those flexible measuring things
it has exact measurments on it
A ok i usualy use paper but if that is used for that it is the right
It should be about 0.2mm from bad to nozzle tip at Z0
Ok than it should be ok
Meabe research online if anyone had saum problem
I have to go to sleep i have school in 5 hours so
Good night

can i get a recap of whats been tried
And for the z offsfet try printing one lqyer and than inspecct it
alright thanks
good night thank you!
so far
ive tried messing with infill density
uhh
and speed
of infill
basically it so far I believe
and you had no issues with your old slicer?
except for really bad stringing
👌
can you try printing a maxflowrate test
👌
is that good?
yep
alright
you can stop the print when it starts separating assuming it doesnt instantly start separating...
looks like this?
yep
what is the goal of this btw?
loading into printer now
just curious what it does
new to printing
its like testing the speed but flowrate is a more exact mesure, this does loops increasing speed every few layers
itl help me understand if your speeds are an issue or if something else is wrong
it probably will start separating before it gets all the way thru so can be stopped early
@ me when its ready
will do
@abstract zealot
just a heads up
i forgot to clean the bed before printing
so the adhesion got messed up
reprinting it now
Is it done?
Or still cleaning out the nozzle\throat?
I’m going to wait until tomorrow
I’ve been working on this all day
At my limits lol
