#Artifacts in long surfaces depending on stops in layer, which setting causes this? PETG

As you can see in the bottom without the exhaust hole has a good surface and the surface that has a hole stops next to it has artifacts.
I don't know what setting causes this, but it surely is not the filament since that seems to behave well on a continuous surface.

A single stop on the layer can make it ugly like this even on continuous surface after.

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with retraction settings or possibly the cooling of the filament. Try adjusting the retraction distance and speed in your slicing software to see if that helps reduce the artifacts. Additionally, ensure that your cooling fan is working properly and positioned correctly to cool the filament as it is laid down. Experiment with different settings to see if you can improve the print quality.

i also see striping caused by printer slowing down layers

#

in your filament settings under cooling there should be "Dont slow down outer layers"
this will prevent the printer from slowing the outer layers for a consistant outter layer look
