#Enclosure I bought is BARELY too small, rubs against filament

Title. I have an FLSUN Q5, I bought a ventilated enclosure for peace of mind and didn't take into account the height of the printer with the filament on top of it. I'm trying to think of ways I can work around this, the first thing I thought of is to make a part that holds the spool horizontally, but I'm not sure how well the spool would be able to spin if I do that. I was thinking of just making a cylinder that the spool slots over and it's wide enough to hold the spool in place while it spins horizontally, would friction or anything else get in the way of printing like this? Do I need to design it around ball bearings to help it spin smoothly?

It's a great idea to design a part that holds the spool horizontally to fit within your ventilated enclosure. Using a cylinder that the spool slots over can work well. To ensure smooth spinning, you can incorporate ball bearings into the design. This will reduce friction and help the spool spin more freely. Make sure to properly align the bearings and select ones that can handle the weight and size of your filament spool. Testing the design with a prototype before finalizing it is also recommended.

It sounds like it'd work.
You can have 0608 bearing (skateboard bearsings) and it'll roll smoothly.
Add a filament guide or use a bowen tube to guide it to where you need the filament....or you might be able to just setup printing from a filament dryer.....

The hardest bit will getting the angle you need in the right place. If the spool is sitting flat, it needs a gentle curve to transition (add bowden tube.)...else yeah, the resistance will be a bit much, and it might get stuck...
