#Temp Tower

To provide feedback on your temp tower, I would need more specific details such as the type of filament you're using and the temperatures you've tested. To improve print quality, ensure your nozzle is clean, bed is leveled, filament is properly loaded, and printer settings are optimized for your model. Also, check for any loose belts, worn nozzles, or calibration issues that may be affecting your prints.
what filament type?
Looks like it needs to be dried
its an ender 3, the standard one
its a noname filament..
maybe the humidity is the problem
is it PLA? PETG? Mystery meat?
but in my room is 65-75% humid
pla
could try drying it to see if the quality improves
how can i dry it

What if i told you that you already have everything you need to assemble one of the best filament dryers available? Don't believe me? In this video i'll show you how, with a combination of very simple principles, we can all dry filament without an oven for free.
....................................................................................
ok and how much time until it will become wet again?
depends on humidity and storage conditions
open air stored? depends on the exact makeup of PLA. but general rule is ~24h-1week
PLA is much more resistant to absorbing moisture than other filaments, but it still does.
you can do make storage dry boxes or get re-usable storage bags
whats the best filament brand from this list?
theres no "best" per se and most will work (probably AzureFilm, Polymaker)
best?
polymaker (premium)
Sunlu (midtier)
eSUN, GST3D(lower mid tier)
they should all work about the same, just depends if they have what you want if your willing to dish the coin
only reason i say polymaker is they have the most consistant quality control.
it petg better than pla?
depends on the usecase
will it absorb water slower?
it is a different material, with differnt properties
idk it is 2$ cheaper on the site i buy from
and PETG absorbs water at a higher rate than PLA
about the same rate as PLA
different material properties. Have to worry about warping and fumes
theres only a few materials that don't absorb water and none of them are convenient
oh..
what about if i make myself a filament dryer?
a sealed plastic box and a cheap room dehumidifier inside
i dont think it will dry the filament but at least will it keep it dried?
?drytower
that dehumidifier is kinda expensive
30-40$
i can get this for that money
in my country is over 40$
and if i byt from ebay the shipping will be as much as the dryer
haha
those dont dry the filament at any real rate, they just maintain
yeah I know that
just know people reccomend them as an actual means of drying.. which is a fundamental misunderstanding
hence me sending the dryer first
im sure they are fine. i havnt heard anything specifically bad about it
