U dont rly need to do anything to make it watertight. if printed without issues in the layer lines.

usually you do but maybe it depends on the filament used
a number of them aren't watertight due to the way the layers are laid down and there's still microscopic holes that water will seep through, no visible gaps doesn't guarantee a perfect seal
I've heard print orientation helps as well but it's difficult to get something that holds water for an extended period of time without using certain filaments and/or coatings
ive printed pots for my plants in petg spiral setting. They were waterproof but little fragile ( tested the pots by filling them up with water and leaving them for an hour)
What coating would be best? Ive used superglue for pots that had areas with little holes but didnt really look the best
I usually increase my extrusion material by 25%, that mostly does the trick, but not always though. It's pretty frustrating tbh. If you ever figure out a foolproof way, please ping
I feel like coatings are the way to go, I'd have a hard time believing any filament is completely watertight unless there are some that just don't have air bubbles somehow
clear 100% silicone is good for sealing things against water though I'm sure there's others out there
one thing with watertight prints with no coatings is that if they hold water for an hour or even a day, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll hold it for weeks or months
That's my experience as well tbh
i know if i print tpu as fast as possible it gets watertigth
It's squishy though, not great for structures lol
