#Why is my glue steaming
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It is not normal for glue to steam during 3D printing. Please ensure that you are using a suitable adhesive for 3D printing applications and that it is being applied correctly. If the issue persists, consider using a different adhesive or consulting the manufacturer for further guidance.
what ? 😭
Ahhhhh hmmm
What temp is the bed reporting?
The ah, thermistor on the bed (i'm assuming thats where you put the glue...) may need to be tested or tuned...
If it's not set at a really high temp...
Also what printer?
by glue do you mean filament, the plastic ?
Generally elmers is reccomended...
But for higher temps, i'm not sure, if it's freshly applied for 100 degrees it might steam as it contains water.... 🤔
For higher temp than maybe 70, your looking at something called "NPA"
Idk if you need to go that hot. (According to the opinions from #3d-printing ) 😅
What temp is the bed at?

Make sure your print bed is clean. Properly clean, scrub it with washing up liquid rinse and dry then use IPA to give it a good finishing clean.
After that ensure bed is level, and z height has been done properly.
(guys, let OP answer the questions first!)
