Hi there! Thank you for looking at this post. I have had nothing but issues with my Neptune 4 max, and I am begging for help as I have done all i can think of and scraped the internet for all it is worth. I have attached some pictures of the issues I am having. The first layer is nearly perfect, and all the yuck is from everything after that.

I have completed multiple bed leveling steps, and used the Tilt_Screw_Calculation. My Z offset is set, but seems pretty far off to me. I have checked the belts to see if they are tight enough or loose enough and believe them to be good. Adhesion is also pretty good. Please help.

It sounds like you have put in a lot of effort troubleshooting already, which is great to hear. From the description provided, it seems like the issue may be related to inconsistent layer adhesion or possibly a problem with the hotend or extruder. Here are a few suggestions to consider:

  1. Check extruder calibration: Ensure that your extruder is properly calibrated to ensure accurate filament flow. Make sure your extruder steps/mm are correctly configured in your printer's firmware.

  2. Hotend clog: A partial clog in the hotend can lead to inconsistent extrusion. Try a cold pull or cleaning the hotend with a nozzle cleaning kit to clear any obstructions.

  3. Filament quality: Low-quality or improperly stored filament can cause printing issues. Verify that your filament is dry and stored correctly. Consider using a filament dryer if you suspect humidity has affected your filament.

  4. Temperature settings: Adjusting the temperature settings for both the hotend and he...

So. Crazy enough. Ran the test, marked 120mm ran 100mm at 1 mm/s. literally ran exactly 100mm on the dot

Just tried to do the flow rate multiplier calibration built into the slicer and I think this is a physical ramming or scraping issue instead of something like that. Here is my build plate

Neptune 4 max... 🤔
Check this as well while you're at it... (If your has it...)

They arent the easier printers to tune.

There's a design flaw hidden under the ELEGOO NEPTUNE 4 PRO build plate. The Y-axis belt ends stick up into the foam insulation and heater under the bed. This constant pressure can cause the bed to warp. Overtightening [accidentally] the bed using the bed leveling screws will apply more pressure and definitely cause the bed to warp. This video s...
