Hello folks, I'm trying to model a E-box (For my Ender 3 Pro) that can contains:
Raspberry PI 3B
The motherboard

I would like for it to be attached to the printer. I would also like for all the ports to be either in the front or in the back and preferably with a slot for a switch on the front to turn it on and off (Otherwise back works too).
Im asking for help to model!

Designing a custom E-box for your Ender 3 Pro to house a Raspberry Pi 3B, motherboard, and PSU sounds like a great project. To create the model, you can use CAD software such as Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks.

Start by measuring the dimensions of the components you want to house and plan out the layout within the box. Ensure that there is adequate space for proper ventilation and cable management. You can incorporate mounting brackets or clips to attach the box securely to your printer.

Positioning the ports at the front or back with a switch slot is achievable through precise design and measurements. You can add cutouts for ports and a slot for the switch based on your preferences.

Once you have your design ready, you can 3D print the E-box using your preferred filament. Make sure to consider the layer height and infill density for optimal strength and aesthetics.

If you encounter any specific issues during the design or printing process, feel free to ask for assistance...

Something like this but maybe taking up less space and the PSU on the back. I'd also like for it to be on the right side of the printer.

yeah, saddly edinting others STLs isnt really possible, if they include STEP files then you might be off with them

the orange is just a copy

STLs are all triangles, with no refernce geometry, STEPs(from CAD) generate mathmatical steps to recreate them

im just trying to paint up an idea

for getting an idea tinkercad works, but to get dimensionaly accurate for a ebox then yeah, time to learn some cad
