#Q1 pro constantly clogging on the first layer

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with inconsistent filament flow leading to clogs. Here are some steps you can take to address the problem:
-
Check the PTFE tube: Make sure the PTFE tube is properly seated and cut cleanly at a 90-degree angle. If it is damaged or misaligned, replace it.
-
Verify hotend temperature: Ensure that the hotend temperature is accurately reading and maintaining 280 degrees C. Inconsistencies can lead to filament not melting properly.
-
Clean the nozzle: A partially clogged or dirty nozzle can cause intermittent flow issues. Use a nozzle cleaning needle or cold pull method to clear any obstructions.
-
Filament quality: Make sure the filament is high quality and not causing inconsistencies. Consider trying a different brand or batch to see if the issue persists.
-
Check extruder tension: Ensure that the extruder is properly gripping the filament and not slipping. Adjust the tension if necessary.
If these steps do not resolve the issue,...
have you performed cold pulls to try to clear the clog?
I'm gonna try right now. I haven't done any cold pulls yet
?coldpull
make sure to let the nozzle cool to around 50c before triying pulls
It says 90 in the article
... that it does, shows how good my memory is
50ºC for PLA
Btw, how do I perform the pull? Do I just yank the filament up or do I have to do something before?
This is how the filament came out @edgy swallow
Try again with a lower temp, you want the tip to come ouf as a cone
Alright
Disengage the tension on the extruder gears (which is hopefully possible( while pulling
I did that, the filament came out with a conical tip but there was no residue (I had black filament before and I used white for the cold pull)
first check if your tube is still straight and not thick somewhere. Then check if your fan is still cooling your tube/hotend.
