#Missing portions in my print

For a while now I'm having trouble with my printer (Ender 3 Pro). There are portions in my print where the filament seems to not be extruded or under extruded by a lot leaving only a thin string. As you can see in the image, there are portions where the print looks normal. The slicer settings are pretty much the same ones I've been using for a couple of years, PLA profile with very few changes.

I've tried changing the nozzle and inspecting the extruder gear so it isn't to worn out. Not sure what to try next because this is very frustrating and ruining a lot of my prints. Any help is appreciated!

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with filament flow, commonly known as under-extrusion. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check the filament: Make sure the filament is not tangled or stuck and is feeding smoothly. Also, check for any clogs or debris in the hot end that may be obstructing the flow of filament.

  2. Adjust the extrusion multiplier: In your slicer software, you can try increasing the extrusion multiplier slightly to see if it improves the issue. This will adjust the amount of filament being extruded during the print.

  3. Check the extruder tension: Ensure that the spring tension on your extruder is set correctly. If it's too loose, the filament may not be gripped properly, leading to under-extrusion.

  4. Check the hot end temperature: Make sure that the hot end temperature is correct for the type of filament you are using. Printing at too low a temperature can cause under-extrusion.

  5. Calibrate the E-steps: It's possible that your Ende...
