#Prints stop adhering partway through, at nearly the same spot

I have a G10 print surface that has been consistently failing to adhere prints any longer than about 20-30 minutes. After that, the prints seem to self release, and I don't know why. I have cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, both 70% and 90%, and have used a clean microfiber cloth for the job. I have had it for a few months now, and have never had this issue before. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you may be experiencing issues with bed adhesion. Here are a few suggestions to try:

  1. Ensure your print bed is properly leveled. If the nozzle is too far from the bed, it can cause adhesion issues.
  2. Try adjusting the printing temperature. The first layer is crucial for adhesion, so experimenting with slightly higher or lower temperatures may help.
  3. Check if your print bed is heated and at the correct temperature for the filament you are using.
  4. Try using a different adhesive such as glue stick or a specific 3D printing adhesive spray.
  5. Consider using a brim or raft on your prints to increase the surface area and improve adhesion.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider replacing your G10 print surface. Over time, surfaces can wear out and lose their adhesive properties.

Need more info then that.

  • what material are you printing
  • what's the bed temp
  • enclosure/no enclosure
  • how worn is the bed
  • have you tried adhesives like glue stick
  • have you tried messing with settings like Z offset, Bed temp, Extrusion multiplier, etc

  1. PlA
  2. Bed temp at 70 and I've tried 75.
  3. Tried it both enclosed and with the printer door open to no avail.
  4. Bed isn't very worn, only a few small scratches from poor bed leveling, but I am not trying to print overtop of them.
  5. I have not tried glue stick, since Its a g10 bed and shouldnt need it.
  6. No, I have not really tried to mess with any of those things.

The bed adhered just fine, then, after I had to order a replacement thermocouple for it and didnt use it for about a month, it stopped adhering properly.
