I am having an issue where the z offset isnt working, it starts where its supposed to then moves up about 3mm every time, it was working great then just started messing up, tried both cura and creality, tried with previous prints that just worked a few days ago, ive done manual bed leveling then did the bltouch bed leveling, put z offset to 0, saved it, checked where it should be by doing the paper test and moving z down, set it in the z offset, print starts correctly then moves up about 2 -3 mm. not sure whats happening.

It sounds like you have thoroughly tried to troubleshoot the Z-offset issue with your 3D printer. Here are a few additional steps you could try:

  1. Check the slicer settings: Ensure that the initial layer height in your slicer settings matches the height you set when leveling the bed manually and with BLTouch.

  2. Check for firmware issues: Make sure that the firmware on your printer is up to date. Sometimes a firmware update can resolve issues with the Z-offset.

  3. Test with different slicing software: If you haven't already, try slicing and printing your model with a different slicing software to see if the issue persists.

  4. Inspect the Z-axis components: Check for any loose connections, misaligned components, or damaged parts in the Z-axis system that could be causing the unexpected movement.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it may be beneficial to reach out to the manufacturer's support team for further assistance or consider seeking help from a technician fa...
