So, I’ve sliced a benchy file in octo and the printer is attempting to print off of the actual print base, which is borderline confusing. It does all that it should, then starts making irrational movements, prints mid air and jerks around so much that the filament comes out like a scene out of the botched robocop trials. Any idea?

It sounds like there may be an issue with your print bed leveling or calibration. Make sure your print bed is leveled properly. Also, ensure that your slicer settings match the specifications of your printer. Check that the nozzle is at the correct height above the print bed at the start of the print. Lastly, consider updating the firmware of your 3D printer to ensure it is functioning correctly.

The settings need to be adjusted for the print bed size (235 x 235 x 300mm) and location for this printer.
Both in octoprint, and any slicer you might use.
Also, while i'm not entirely sure, some of the axis's are set up are "reverse or backwards" in this printer. This might need more looking into though.
I’m going to let it run for 13 mins and then see what happens. Afterwards, I’ll edit
Otherwise...does it do this without octoprint?
I can’t run any other software so idk
I’m running a 2007 office pc
@rancid violet it worked
I just didn’t give it a chance
Oh nice!
May need to look at adjusting the position of the belts in the printer menu 😅
I'm not running an ace, so i'm not quite sure where it is...
Yah nice!
But i'm more referring to violent noises you described earlier 😅
Oh that was actually just it finishing calibration
It prematurely stopped itself calibrating
oh... woah... so the ace auto calibrates... 👀
ok i need to go learn more about this printer I think...
