the temp tower was absolutely terrible. hardly any stringing at all but the whole thing had those pockeyhole looking things. so i dried it for 6 hours. and just ran this test here. same pockeyholes through. what is that?? also the glossy effect lasts at a much higher flow rate than the regular overture petg. ends at 16 for the elegoo, and 12 for the regular overture petg.
is printing above the glossy effect meaning its not longer retaining its properties?
also the overture petg had zero imperfections all the way up to 32 flow. but there are those (ill just call them pockey holes for now) through the entire elegoo rapid petg. no idea whats happening there. u got any ideas or suggestions?

dried at 65c for 6 hours

GREEN is Overture PETG
BLACK is Elegoo Rapid PETG

green looks to be completely flawless in terms of inconsistencies well up to the 32 max flow. aside from the obvious losing of its glossy effect at around 12 flow rate
black ends the glossy effect at 16 flow rate. but has those pockey holes (thats what i shall call them for now) through the entire print.

printed at 255C. temp tower test was 230-260c.

It sounds like you are encountering issues with your Elegoo Rapid PETG filament, specifically the appearance of pockmarks or holes throughout the print. To address this, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check Filament Quality: Make sure the Elegoo Rapid PETG filament is of good quality and not contaminated or damaged.

  2. Adjust Retraction Settings: Experiment with adjusting your retraction settings to reduce the appearance of stringing and pockmarks.

  3. Temperature Calibration: Since you mentioned that you are printing at 255°C, consider adjusting the temperature slightly to see if it improves the print quality.

  4. Layer Height: Try adjusting your layer height to see if it has an impact on the pockmark issue.

It's also worth noting that the loss of the glossy effect may be related to changes in flow rate. Printing above the glossy effect may not necessarily indicate a loss of properties, but rather a different visual appearance.
