Evening,
I have just purchased a Ender 3 Max Neo and it came with Creality. Is this what most use for slicing? I have mostly done Resin printing and wanting to get into the bigger prints. Reason in me asking is, I can't really figure out how to do supports on things. With the auto supports it doesn't look like it's right or a ton of waste. Any info on a good program for this and tips would be amazing.

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

Congratulations on your new Ender 3 Max Neo! Creality Slicer is a popular choice for slicing with Creality printers. However, many 3D printing enthusiasts also use other slicing software like Cura or PrusaSlicer, which provide more advanced features and settings for supports.

When it comes to generating support structures for your prints, you can often manually adjust the support settings in the slicing software to tailor them to your specific needs, instead of relying solely on auto-support generation. Experimenting with support density, pattern, and angle can help reduce waste and ensure that your prints are adequately supported in critical areas.

For more advanced support settings and more control over the support structures, you may want to explore other slicing software options like the ones mentioned above. Additionally, there are specialized mesh editing tools like Meshmixer that can help with custom support generation for complex models.

I hope this informat...
