Hi, I'm interested in getting my printer on Klipper using a LE Potato. How do you guys power those? Do you use an adapter and just connect it to the printer or running off of your printers PSU?

I can help with that! It's recommended to power the LE Potato board directly from your printer's power supply using a buck converter or separate power supply. This is to ensure proper voltage regulation and prevent any issues with power draw. You'll connect the positive and negative wires from your printer's power supply to the appropriate terminals on the LE Potato board. If you need more detailed instructions or assistance, feel free to ask!

Im not familiar with that board but if you can add a realy of some sorts you can leave the board powered and then use that to boot the printers. Generally I would advise against running multiple printers from the same controller though

These SBCs are so cheap allocating one to a printer isnt a big deal. Better that than it becoming a nightmare. I dont even know how you would install klipper twice without running it in docker or some awful implementation

Also the 2nd printer won't be run a lot cause it's an old and cheap DIY thing that I happen to own

sounds like a bit of a nightmare tbh

#

but would in theory work

#

personally I would much rather have the modularity of individual controllers allowing you to pull / work on one machine without them all going down

Tbh it's just a "I want to do it cause I can" type of thing lol

Anyway, thanks a lot for such a quick answer! :)
