#my layer quality is dying as my print goes higher

My print is gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous at the bottom. Really great. Flawless threads, but as the printer moved up it turned into a Styrofoam packing peanut. I'm thinking it has to do with the supports quality? That's the main difference between the thread and the crappy parts. The crappy parts were built on supports. Lmk y'all's thoughts.

(Also I releved my bed and the first lair looks really thin/smooshed. Could that have contributed?)

It sounds like the issue may indeed be related to the support structures on your print. If the supports are not providing enough stability or are not properly designed, it can lead to the upper parts of the print having a lower quality compared to the bottom.

Regarding the first layer looking thin or smooshed after leveling the bed, this can indeed contribute to issues with print quality. It's important to ensure that the first layer adheres well to the bed to provide a solid foundation for the rest of the print. Double-checking your bed leveling and adjusting the nozzle height can help improve this aspect of your print.

Hope this helps!
