I recently bought .2mm nozzles, for my e3 v3 ke. They are third party, not from creality. I replaced the nozzle and I go to extreme at one millimeter of second feed rate and the gear just skips and nothing comes out. I have tried numerous cold polenumerous cold pulls, nozzle is not clogged. I tried changing the feed rate to .25 millimeters a second and it's still skips and the ideas? Some filament does come out, but I think it is just it leaking from being liquid.
#0.2mm Nozzle not Extruding

AI Help
It sounds like you are experiencing issues with extrusion due to the smaller nozzle size. Here are a few things you can try:
-
Check your nozzle temperature: Make sure your nozzle temperature is set correctly for the filament you are using. Different filament types may require different temperatures for optimal flow.
-
Check your retraction settings: A smaller nozzle size may require adjustments to retraction settings to prevent clogging or skipping. Try increasing the retraction distance slightly.
-
Increase the print temperature: If filament is not extruding properly, try increasing the print temperature in small increments to help with flow.
-
Check your filament diameter settings: Ensure that the filament diameter setting in your slicer software matches the actual diameter of your filament.
-
Clean the nozzle area: Sometimes, residue or debris can accumulate in the nozzle or hotend. Make sure the nozzle area is clean and free from any obstructions.

Honestly think you might have a bogus nozzle.
You've cold pulled already, and a .2 should still do a couple mm3/s
Ill try the other .2 when I get home. There were two in the package
0.0mm nozzle :/
is the hotend heating up?
Yes, burned myself checking
how is the nozzle not clogged but you can't extrude with it?
I honestly dont know
did it ever work?
and how do you know it's not clogged
if you're not extruding with it
if nothing comes out the end when you push filament
thenit's obstructed
Brand new nozzle, have never used .2
also are you running a full metal hotend?
or the regular ptfe lined heat break that enders came with
Everything is stock but the nozzle.
A tiny bit, from ooze
And a tiny bit when I first start extruding before it skips
In case anyone is interested,
tahts' the kinda thing you need to include with the opening
like what temp?
what material
I tried, but I just got home and it wasnt uploading on data
215 PLA
no issues same filament other nozzle?
so cold pulling a nozzle you cant flow through anything, is unlikely to solve the issuee if it's that bad
Yep
that nozzle is as Derra' said prolly FUBAR
try to shove your clog wire when you get home
Clog wire is too large for a 0.2 I think.
Yeah I only got one for a .4
i got a big assortment of different accupuncture needles which is all they are
0.4mm is usually 0,2mm actual
for the pins
ify ou cold pull the nozzle
and then remove it
you should be able to see through it
im guessing you probably wont be able to like derra said
Im gonna take it off and tey the other nozzle
Im ready to dissassamble the extruder itself. New .2mm nozzle
put the 0.4 back on and see if all your problems are fixed
I'll try
if one of the 0.2's is bunk, good chance the other one is too
Must be smt stuck inside, nothing with the .4 as well
Time to take apart a hot end!
Ima eat dinner first
I dont know if that in the nozzle or what, but its coming out either way
It was getting stuck on something on the way in, but idk what. Nothing got pushed out
@spring plover you crammed a needle that is 0.2mm +/- 0.05mm of tolerance
the 0.2mm nozzle is probably somewhere between 0.25 and 0.15mm
so it got stuck as you shoved it in
lol
also
the heatbreak
is PTFE lined
It was
if your heat break, isn't seated properly
you'll run into issues
now try to run filament through the extruder
and see if the extruder works
while the hotend is off
My problem is, it worked fine until I replaced the nozzle
Im gonna try that next
@frosty spade WE ARE WORKING!
There was a piece of filament that for some reason wasnt melting
Idk why
contamination possibly
something with a different melt temperature but didn't make a big diff to the mass flow they process on the commercial filament machine
also, don't forget you have that PTFE lined hotend
so don't go over like 240c
funny story, when I was first tryign to clear any obstruction, just to be safe, I set the machine to 300 (less than like 2 minutes) and the PLA started smokign
So yeah
But I dont usually go above 230
I have no need to PETG and PLA
I also didnt know ti was PTFE lined until today when I was taking it apart
....
you took your PTFE hotend to 300c?
Rip
PTFE offgases toxic shit above like 250-260.
get yourself a metal heatbreak
maybe thats what the smoke was from
ehh whatever, it probably wotn evre go that high again lol
PLA will smoke that high too
personally i'd toss that heatbreak now
but, if it flows, it flows
uh....
that entire thing is worth like almost as much as your printer lol
no
you can just get a heatbreak
or you could also just retrofit to a V6 style hotend off aliex for like 15 bucks
Honestly I search up metal heatbreak and all I get is bi-metal stuff that still has PTFE tube
