#Uneven top surfaces

I’m running a Bambu A1 with AMS, printing a robe hook for my bathroom. I’m using a 0.4mm tip with petg and have not changed any of the heat or speed settings in the slicer.
I have changed the layer setting to 1.0mm which has made the sides nice and smooth.

The top surfaces print fairly well, but I am getting some unevenness where the horizontal surface meets the fillet on the edge. Even with ironing on I still get a rough top surface.

I have checked my model in blender and the face is flat, with no non-flat faces. Printing time is about 3 hours.

Is this issue something that could be fixed with a smaller nozzle? Also, what speed settings can I safely boost without sacrificing print quality or risking a layer shift error?

I’ll post a picture of the issue in a bit.

It sounds like the unevenness on the top surface could be due to a few factors, such as inadequate cooling, insufficient top layers, or improper settings for your PETG material.

Regarding your nozzle size, switching to a smaller nozzle might help with achieving finer details and smoother surfaces, but it is not the only solution to the issue. You may also try adjusting the retraction settings, increasing the cooling fan speed, or tweaking the print speed to improve the top surface quality.

As for boosting print speed, it is recommended to make incremental changes and do test prints to ensure that print quality is not compromised. Every printer and material behave differently, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to how much you can increase speed without sacrificing quality or risking layer shifts.

Feel free to share the picture of the issue so I can provide more specific advice on how to address the unevenness on the top surface. Let me know if you need further assistance!
