I’m currently replacing my thermistor due to me having a suspicion that it’s been causing a problem on my printer although when ever I wire everything up and go to screw in the thermistor on the heat block the screw seems to always damage the insulation of the thermistor wire. Why is this happening? I have 3 thermistors left to try this on before I run out 😭

It sounds like the screw may be over-tightened, causing it to damage the insulation of the thermistor wire. Try gently tightening the screw just enough to hold the thermistor in place without putting too much pressure on the wire. You can also try using heat-resistant sleeving or tape to protect the wire from damage. Good luck with your replacement process!

My printer is a Sovol sv01 pro which uses creality parts for the heat block and thermistor
And the screw isn’t over tightened as I screw it in about half way when this happens
Just don't clamp it too hard
If it squishes the insulation in such way, its too tight
But the screw is half way out??
Struggles to even feed the thread
