0.4mm Nozzle
0.16mm Layer Height

I've attached a picture of my support settings, and these are worked with about 2 dozen other prints with no issue.
However, I've changed my Tree Style from Default to Tree Hybrid. This is my first time using Tree Hybrid, as some pieces in this project will benefit from a mix of both normal and tree supports. There are a few pieces in this print project that will benefit from the normal supports offered by Tree Hybrid, but I haven't attempted printing these pieces yet.

I have no idea what changed, and it's trashing my prints. Can someone take a look at my Support Settings to see if there is anything that seems out of place? Recommendations on settings also welcome.

AI Help

I'm sorry for any confusion, but I am unable to view attached images. However, based on your description, it sounds like the change in support style might be causing the issues with your prints. When switching between different support styles, there can be adjustments needed in settings such as support density, overhang angle, or even support interface layers.

I recommend checking these settings in your slicing software when using the Tree Hybrid support style to ensure they are optimized for your specific model. Additionally, consider adjusting settings related to support placement and structure to see if that improves the print quality. If you continue to experience issues, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.

I personally am a big fan of "on buildplate only"

So from what I see you are printing parts that would probably fall under rule 4 so please keep that in mind for further posts.

These are my settings in orca slicer. I looked at it in the slicer and I find hybrid adds way too much support in my opinion. Looks hard to remove in the slicer.

As you may have noticed according to the support hell in your pictures

# timber jackal So from what I see you are printing parts that would probably fall under rule 4 ...

I appreciate the heads-up. After reviewing the rules, I wanted to address any concerns and indicate that these are parts for a prop weapon. Specifically, this item: https://galacticarmory.net/products/helldivers-2-liberator-3d-print-files?srsltid=AfmBOopJosb-RT4QQtLE9esfmEVXYYdDlZHRTF7Z7WJnxdAxPNyG0jws

Both the magazine and grip are featured in my pictures above.
I understand now, that should've been disclosed from the beginning.

I'll adjust my settings and set the tree style back to default for a test print. It'll be a shame if I can't use that support type for this project, but I'd rather have a usable print than $4 of trash. I'll let you know if it works.

I think the Tree Hybrid setting was the killer. On the slice preview, it doesn't look like it adds any additional filament, but the top couple of layers turn into dark green for Support Interfaces.

I haven't run back the same exact prints, for fear of wasting even more filament. However, I did a few smaller ones and the trees pop off as expected.

I think this is considered ?solved

Thanks for your help.
