So I want to get into 3D Printing warhammer 40k marines. I did this print on my neptune 4 and it didn't come out as great as I would have liked. I am worried if I start painting this it will look really bad.

The settings are 150mm/s, .18 layer height, 205 c for pla in the hotend, 70 degree bed temp, .3mm z hop distance, and let me know if you need more settings than that. Thanks!

It sounds like you are experiencing print quality issues with your Neptune 4 while trying to print Warhammer 40k marines. Here are a few suggestions to help improve your print quality:

  1. Print Speed: 150mm/s is quite fast for 3D printing. Try reducing the print speed to around 50-60mm/s to see if that helps improve the print quality.

  2. Layer Height: A layer height of 0.18mm is considered quite fine for most prints. You could try increasing the layer height to 0.2mm or 0.3mm to see if that helps with the print quality.

  3. Hotend Temperature: 205°C is a common temperature for PLA, but different brands may require slightly different temperatures. You could try adjusting the temperature slightly (increasing or decreasing by 5°C) to see if that helps with adhesion and print quality.

  4. Bed Temperature: 70°C is a good temperature for PLA. Make sure your bed is properly leveled and that you are using a suitable bed adhesion method (like painters' tape, glue stick, or ...

Might be printing too fast

Also ... nozzle might be clogging or E steps are not tuned right

@limpid frigate Same problem. I increased the extrusion rate by 10% because it was slightly under extruding by like 10% or 20%. I reprinted it with slower speeds more like 80mm/s and still same issues. Thoughts? Thanks!

Like the prints look almost identical except the new print looks a little over extruded.
