This is my attempt at making a closing lid for cutlery tray.

# Note
Please bear in mind that I'm fairly new to CAD. I only have 2-3 hours into fusion360.

# Supporting Files
Attached below STL file of the project and a screenshot of the problem

# Problems
1. Plane highlighted is not getting printed as suggested by the toolpath simulator
2. I don't know if printing it the right way up will need support or no. I'm thinking about rotating it so there is no overhangs.

It sounds like you're having trouble with the orientation of your 3D model for printing.

Regarding your problems:

  1. If the plane highlighted is not getting printed as expected by the toolpath simulator, you may need to adjust your model's orientation or add support structures to ensure successful printing.
  2. Rotating the model to avoid overhangs can be a good approach to minimize the need for supports. Make sure to consider the strength and appearance of the final print when choosing the orientation.

If you need further assistance or guidance on how to adjust the orientation of your model, feel free to share the STL file and screenshot for more specific advice.

I want it to be 1.5mm thick

#

yea that make sense. It is probably too thin rn that it didn't show in the simulation. I'm currenlty looking for ways to thicken the said plane

#

I'll update this post if I find the workaround
