AI Help

I'm sorry to hear about your printing struggles. To help with your issues, please ensure that your printer's frame is sturdy and not wobbly, as this can affect print quality. Make sure to check the tightness of belts, screws, and pulleys.

Regarding your hot end getting stuck on the front of the bed during leveling, it may be an issue with the bed leveling process or the printer's firmware settings. Double-check the leveling procedure and adjust the Z-offset if needed.

Feel free to share the photos and videos on the Discord call for a more detailed troubleshooting session. Remember to stay patient and methodical in diagnosing the issues to achieve better printing results.

is it getting stuck on the bed or print?

#

oh nevermind just watched the video

#

its an issue with your z homing. its either using relative or absolute check in the start gcode in your slicer . whatever its on, switch it to the other one

In prusaalicer look in the printer section and look at start gcode. Don't know how you'd do that in cura

#

i dont know much about gcode so take my advice with a grian of salt

V Rollers
Vslot rollers are on most of the popular budget printers such as the ender 3 and other v-slot based printers. Your printer should have come with a wrench that is able to adjust the eccentric nut that increases the tension of the wheels. Usually on a plate with 3 wheels, only one can be tensioned, and on a plate with 4 wheels (usually the Y carriage) there are two wheels that can be tensioned, you can see which ones need to be tensioned by looking for eccentric nuts (Labeled in drawing below).

Vslot rollers should be tensioned and checked as a part of your frame check before you fire up your 3d printer. They should be tightened until you are able to turn the wheels with your fingers with a little friction, but not too tight that they are too hard to turn at all (failure to do so will result in quicker wear and tear of your Vslot wheels, certain printing artifacts and excess strain on the stepper motors ).

Make sure to check that all your Vslot plates and carriages are free from wobble along the X, Y and Z axis wherever your printer uses Vslot rollers. You should check these regularly to clean them of dust snd to see if the rubber is worn, if so, they should be replaced with new ones.

First fix this

#

Its horrible

when it homes the zaxis the probe goes off the bed so the probe never touches the bed. this isnt a leveling issue. consider flashing your firmware. its easy to do and helps troubleshoot alot of stuff out. also your probe is slightly off center

timber bone
#

you need to fix your xy offset of the probe

proper cosmos
#

xy offset of the probe? if so thats not the issue here

timber bone
#

And tell the firmware it should probe in the middle

timber bone
#

At least one of them is wrong

thats not the issue either. the x belt is loose so its skipping thats what that noise is

proper cosmos
#

most likely the homing isnt centered. this is easily solved in mriscoc not sure in marlin

timber bone
#

Okay could be the belt too I suppose

proper cosmos
#

yeah but in mriscoc its just a click of a button on the printers built in screen while in marlin im pretty sure you have to looking in the actual firmware

timber bone
#

You can fix that without recompiling, usually

proper cosmos
#

alr i assume you know more about firmware so tell them how to go in the firmware and change it. i know pretty much nothing about firmware
