#PETG printing errors
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It sounds like you're putting in a lot of effort to troubleshoot the issue with your PETG Benchy prints. Here are a few suggestions to help improve your print quality:
- Ensure that your printer's bed is leveled correctly to provide a good first layer adhesion.
- Make sure your nozzle is clean and free from any debris that can cause clogs.
- Check if your filament is properly dried, as moisture can affect the print quality.
- Adjust the retraction settings to prevent stringing.
If these suggestions don't solve the problem, please provide more specific details about the poor printing (e.g., pictures of the print, specific issues you're encountering) so I can offer more targeted assistance.
@sick sonnetnot enough cooling, printing too fast for your cooling solution
PETG is a slower filament than PLA
Any suggestions with changes?
cut your speed down ALOT, increase cooling to max 100% and 10 seconds
and there should be a minimum layer time somewhere, I'ld boost to 10 secs atleast
Appreciate the tips! I'll try print out a benchy and give it a go. I've also dropped my temp down to 240.
For the speeds did you have a list of what you're running with. Or at least which ones I should drop down
@sick sonnetyou don't have the same setup as me. My settings wouln't work on yours
I have 2x 5015 blowers, cht nozzle, copper block....
No worries 🙂 I believe that it's printing much better now after adjusting some of the settings further
benchy's chimney is a cooling test. If it is distorted, cooling is bad.
and at no time should printed part be wiggly
that is also a cooling issue
Some slight overhangs from it printing too quickly with the infill I believe. After some minor tweaks it should be better!
yeah quite better
