#Extruder Clicking Ender 3 Pro
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The clicking sound could be caused by a clog in the nozzle or a problem with the extruder gear not properly gripping the filament. First, try cleaning out the nozzle with a cold pull or a nozzle cleaning kit. If that doesn't work, check if the filament is properly loaded and that the extruder tension is set correctly. If the issue persists, you may need to replace the extruder gear or check for other mechanical issues.

Hello

It could be the extruder skipping
to much tension on the filament or the nozzle is clogged / partially blocked
Could be the extruder being too weak to rotate spool.....
@lofty sapphire @swift drum I should be the extruder itself being too weak I installed a new extruder now long ago so I'm thinking it's just a simple clogged/ partially clogged nozzle
try disconnecting the Bowden tube at the extruder then trying to extrude
if it stops clicking then it's likely the hotend
I'll give it a shot

@swift drum I cleaned and replaced the nozzle but the extruder is still clicking? Not sure what else to do?
was it clicking with the extruder disconnected from the hotend?
Yes

I did some E-steps/mm2 just in case but with the bowden tube off, clicking or skipping still occurs on the extruder. Idk how it could be a hotend issue, it's a brand new hotends so not 100% sure what the problem is
there could be too much tension on the filament causing the extruder to skip
there's a screw on the side of the extruder that you can slightly loosen
Ok! I'll do that when I get off work at 4:00pm MST! Thank you so much for helping out it means alot!
