#Auto-leveling on AnyCubic Kobra 2 Plus

Hey everyone, new to 3D printing here and I’m checking in to see if this is the “norm”.

Just got my AnyCubic Kobra 2 Plus (Firmware version 3.1.2) and set up seem to have gone fairly smoothly. The initial set up that got prompted on the screen all went well.

During the auto-leveling, everything seems pretty good, nuzzle was touching the bed and the Shark Bottle Opener test print came out well (I don’t recall if I ever checked z-offset as it was printing).

Ain’t sure what I may have done but now the auto lever doesn’t even touch the bed like before. Not only that, at parts it isn’t even probing the bed (are off to the side).

Video below to see what I mean.

After auto-leveling, I had to set z-offset to -1.80 to get a decent print, as well. What did I do wrong? What is the fix for this?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like there may be an issue with your auto-leveling sensor or the bed leveling process itself. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:

  1. Check the auto-leveling sensor: Make sure the sensor is clean and free from any obstructions. It's possible that the sensor is not detecting the bed properly, which is causing the issues you're experiencing.

  2. Re-calibrate the auto-leveling: Try re-calibrating the auto-leveling process according to the manufacturer's instructions. Sometimes, the sensor needs to be re-calibrated to ensure accurate bed leveling.

  3. Check the wiring: Inspect the wiring between the auto-leveling sensor and the control board to ensure there are no loose connections or damaged wires. If the wiring is damaged, it may need to be replaced.

  4. Adjust the z-offset: If you had to set a z-offset of -1.80 to get a decent print, you may need to fine-tune this setting further. Experiment with adjusting the z-offset to find th...

I've:
▪️ Checked the auto-leveling sensor, it's clean and no obstructions. Double checked with a height gauge as well.
▪️ Recalibrated already and same thing.
▪️ Checked wires, all good to go.

I’m extremely new at 3D printing so I don’t even know if what the video is doing is the norm.

i'd say if it works it works (my print head is tilted by like 3 degrees)
