I'm here to help! You can connect your 3D printer to your PC using a USB cable or through WiFi, depending on the model. You can also use a slicing software like Cura or Simplify3D to prepare your 3D models for printing. If you encounter any specific issues during setup or printing, feel free to ask for assistance here.

I don’t know how to connect it

#

What printer do you use?

#

There may not need to be a call to explain.

unborn badge
#

Elegoo 3 max

rocky tendon
#

neptune 3 max?

unborn badge
#

Yes

rocky tendon
#

It just has a standard USB port and sd card reader. Do you mean you don't know how to load print files onto it?:

unborn badge
#

I’m trying to use orca

#

But it does have the USB SD card

rocky tendon
#

What you do, is you upload your print files from Orcaslicer onto the SD card. Eject the SD card from your computer and put it in the printer. Go to the print tab, select the file, and print it.

Do I need to have my printer hooked up to my computer?

unborn badge
rocky tendon
#

OK. Looked it up: No it does not.

unborn badge
#

It has a cable

rocky tendon
#

Just hit "Cancel" or stop.

#

you don't need a connection.

unborn badge
rocky tendon
#

No, Orca is asking about a wifi connection.

#

A screenshot of orca?

#

How do I get the file onto the SD card?

rocky tendon
#

After you slice the file, there should be a "Save to disk" button or something similar. Plug your SD card into the computer, hit the savev to disk button, navigate to the SD card, save, eject sd card, put in printer, print.

#

I’m putting it in the printer and it says I don’t have it

#

I need a file

rocky tendon
#

Yea, plug that into PC, save file on it (Should be under D:) and put in printer

unborn badge
#

I’ve been doing that

pseudo trench
#

just the sd card and not the whole usb?

rocky tendon
#

Did you save the file onto the sd card??

unborn badge
#

Yes

rocky tendon
#

picture of printer display?

#

also, make sure you're saving onto the right sd card

unborn badge
#

I’m trying to print the torture toaster

#

this was already on here

pseudo trench
#

is it formatted fat32?

#

32 gig?

rocky tendon
#

What's the full filename of the torture toaster gcode file?

unborn badge
rocky tendon
#

good grief that's a long file name. Try removing the space and see if it helps.

unborn badge
#

What space?

#

I put it in

#

It’s not working

rocky tendon
#

the spaces between elegoo, neptune, 3, and max

#

3d printers can't read certain symbols and things.

unborn badge
#

Can we call?

#

That would make it easier

rocky tendon
#

sorry, I can't. Try removing the spaces, and one more thing. I just remembered, 3d printers have a file name length limit. Rename it something wayyy shorter.

#

Try "Torture_Toaster.gcode" minus the quotes

unborn badge
#

Ok thx brb

rocky tendon
#

np

unborn badge
#

I got it to work thank you so much

#

Before I do anything, should I glue it?

rocky tendon
#

Is the bed heated?

#

If so, then no

#

If no, give it a go

unborn badge
#

The beds heated

#

I just glued it though

#

Is that bad?

rocky tendon
#

Yes. Wash it off with soap and water.

#

It won't do any lasting damage though.

unborn badge
#

Whenever I stop a print, it makes a bad noise
