I have a stock SV06 and use prusaslicer.
As you can see in the image, all the organic supports broke which is also what caused that stringy mesh. On top of that I also got a layer shift and have no idea if the two are related. Any help is much appreciated because I am losing my shit over this. It printed another thing perfectly fine yesterday and this morning I came back to this gobshite after letting it run overnight.

AI Help

It looks like you may have encountered multiple issues during your print. The broken supports could be due to insufficient adhesion or improper settings in the slicer software. The stringy mesh may be caused by over-extrusion or incorrect temperature settings. The layer shift could be a result of mechanical issues with the printer, such as loose belts or a misaligned print bed.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Check your print bed adhesion method and ensure it is suitable for the material you are using.
  2. Check and adjust your temperature settings in PrusaSlicer for better print quality.
  3. Verify the filament diameter setting in your slicer to ensure proper extrusion.
  4. Inspect your printer for any loose belts or mechanical issues that may be causing the layer shift.

If you continue to experience issues, feel free to provide more details for further assistance.

Belt Tension Frequency

For a belt:
Length: 0.22 m
Mass: 1.252 kg/m2
Width: 6.0 mm

The required frequency is:
MIN: 131.111 Hz (T= 25 N)
NOM: 143.625 Hz (T= 30 N)
MAX: 155.133 Hz (T= 35 N)

should be around that pitch

hard to tell, was the z offset good? i brought up the support density part because there was a section that just wasnt filled in, but it could have been z offset as well

picture of a first layer? z offset being right >adhesives

@jagged jewel it was underextruding slightly, I corrected that. Could that cause the supports to fail?

#

Can't get a picture because it's too dark

jagged jewel
#

i mean its possible, but general underxtrusion is such a blanket term that it doesnt really point me to any peticular reason

now it just shreds the filament within seconds of print start

#

it doesnt matter at all if i have loads of tension or nearly nothing, it just grinds through the filament sooner or later. farthest i have gotten now is layer six after that one print with the layer shift in the picture

#

could it simply be too old? it was stored in a vacuum sealed bag with silica for 2 years now

#

but if 2 years is the limit on usability i'd be surprised
