can i please for the love of god get someones help.

my ender v3 se recently stopped working (like 3 months ago) and i havent cared enough to try and fix it again.

one of my little fans in the extruder ended its life. i printed with it for a bit, but ended up replacing it because the screeching sound was too hard to sleep with. Anyways, we replaced it. I then began printing a new cool desk thing and headed to bed. I woke up to a 1/3 finished large desk benchy, and stringing all over. Basically, it just stopped using fillament. I was so confused. I tried to extrude, and this happened (attatched). if theres anything i can do, please let me know. ive already taken apart the extruder and there seems to be no blockage. also, i lost the unclogger metal rod tool 💀

i have no hope. I tried contacting the chineese company, and just got "BUY A NEW ONE!!!!" yeah like ima do that. its been a fancy expensive paperweight for 3 months now.

AI Help

It sounds like your extruder might be experiencing a clogging issue. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem:

  1. Heat up the nozzle to the printing temperature for the filament you are using.
  2. Manually push filament through the extruder to see if it feeds smoothly or if there is resistance.
  3. If the filament does not feed smoothly, you can try a cold pull or atomic pull to remove any clogs. There are various tutorials available online on how to perform this procedure for your specific printer model.
  4. Check the nozzle for any residue buildup or blockages and clean it thoroughly using a brass wire brush or a nozzle cleaning kit.
  5. Make sure your filament is loaded correctly and that the extruder gear is gripping the filament properly.
  6. Check your filament for any knots or tangles that might be causing feeding issues.
  7. If you continue to experience problems, you may need to consider replacing the nozzle or the extruder assembly altoget...

i took apart the extruder and looked inside the sprite thing

#

tension is correct

safe crane
#

Looks like its a clog from the video

coral void
#

nothing wrong there

safe crane
#

Is there filament stuck inside?

coral void
#

by the looks of it, no

safe crane
#

What filament are you inserting at what temp?

#

Its the extruder for sure not the nozzle

coral void
#

discords compression 😭

safe crane
#

So you probably have a clogged PTFE tube. Heat that sucker to 300c with it fully assembled and purge a small bit of filament through it

#

Like 10mm of filament at max temp

#

should cook the clog out

coral void
#

so the lid to the thing is stuck 😭

also i think i can just take the tube off?

safe crane
#

Yeah id start with what I suggested

#

If it fails do a cold pull

#

Google "Cold Pull 3d Printer" for more info

coral void
#

cant fully build it cause this stupid piece

#

that was not me actually trying

#

harder to do with 1 hand

safe crane
#

Just take a picture of both pieces for me

#

Something is blocking it

coral void
safe crane
#

It should work? Extruder lever might be blocking the plastic

#

when you put it back

coral void
#

hm

#

also the ptfe tube does come off

#

not sure though

#

not sure how

#

oh actually

#

that makes sense why mine isnt lmao

#

i think ive found the culprit

#

HARDEND PLASTIC IN THE PTFE TUBE!!

safe crane
#

yeah PTFE is blocked

#

thats typical with that setup

coral void
#

checks out

#

now to assemble this damn thing

safe crane
#

You cant really get it out if you dont heat it up. If not youll have to find a replacement tube but idk what type it is or anything

coral void
#

yeayh

safe crane
#

Its called a PTFE Liner i think?

coral void
#

the issue with replacement is i cant get the tube out

#

its stuck there

#

but heating shyould work

#

BUT I CANT FIX THIS STUPID PIECE

#

RAHHH

safe crane
#

The extruder arm is bvlocking you from assembling it

coral void
#

yeah i understand that however

#

movign it back aligns it more

#

but it doesnt ever become flat with the surface

#

i did it

#

holy hell

coral void
#

heating it expells nothing at first. gonna shove fillament down

#

oh that thing is prob too tight

safe crane
#

Push it to max temp

#

Not max pla

coral void
#

260

#

same thing

#

ill work on it tmrw

#

well todaty

I would put the printer at 260 then put the metal rod tool down from the top or I would check to make sure extruder it grabing filiment while it's at max temp
