#Prints constantly warping

Hi! I've been having issues related to adhesion or warping (or wrapping not sure which is the correct term) on pretty much all the materials I use such as pla, pla+,petg, abs+ in my neptune 3 plus. After cleaning and leveling multiple times,it prints fine for like 3 layers before they start slowly leaving the bed.I tried lowering tempatures and slowing first layers but those were unfortunately no help.Unless if it's a very small print,it just kicks the print no matter what and not allowing me to use the machine for its purpose, the giant print area.

I'm using esun filaments.
My printer has textured pei sheet which I cleaned and leveled.
I tried using brim and raft but they were no help either.
I also tried placing model different areas which didn't help either.

It sounds like you are dealing with adhesion issues on your Neptune 3 Plus 3D printer with various materials. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Ensure Proper Bed Leveling: Double-check the bed leveling to ensure it is uniform across the entire build plate.

  2. Adjusted Nozzle Height: Make sure the nozzle is at the correct height from the bed. Sometimes being too close or too far can affect adhesion.

  3. Review Bed Temperature: Verify that the bed temperature matches the recommended temperature for the specific filament you are using. Different materials may require different bed temperatures.

  4. Clean the Bed Again: Ensure the textured PEI sheet is thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol to remove any oils or residues that may affect adhesion.

  5. Consider Using Adhesion Aids: If the above steps do not solve the issue, you may want to try using additional adhesion aids such as glue stick, hairspray, or a specialized bed adhesion solution.

At what temperature do you have your bed?

#

I keep it at 45° Celsius

#

If that doesn't work I would consider using an adhesive item, like 3dlac spray it works really well for me!

I tried taping the last one but it didn't help either

I've seen ads for that kind of sprays but didn't know if I could trust them

#

if you have the textured bed then I'll try that too kittyclappy

Yeah I have textured and I use 3dlac it works really great

hm we don't have 3dlac available but this is the one I mentioned

45 is low for PLA, have you tried 60?

Warping can be a real issue, it can ruin the foundation of the printed part and its dimensional accuracy, leading to a potentially unusable part or a detached print.
Warping happens due to the shrinkage of plastic as it cools.

Here are some easy fixes:

  • Make sure that the buildplate is completely clean, refer to ?bedcleaning
  • Check if your bed is set to the correct temperature.
  • No or minimal part cooling for the first few layers, usually one or two.
  • Using a brim or raft can ensure better adhesion to the buildplate.
  • Using an adhesive such as gluestick, hairspray or a specialized adhesive can be an easy and safe solution. This depends highly on the used buildplate material.
  • Be careful for ambient temperature changes such as opening doors, windows or the printers enclosure. A gust of cold air can throw off your temperatures enough to cause warping.

I cleaned it with soap and isopropyl alcohol
Leveled multiple times
Used rafts as I don’t really trust brims anymore

#

When I get back home I’ll snap a pic of the spool
I checked esun website for the same material and it says no heat/60-80 celsius which I find strange as I’m pretty sure about mine showing around 45

For PLA I personally like running 60 even if it says no heat which I find weird sometimes. And if it does warp it could be something as simple as a wind draft it happened to my print before. The movement of the bed was enough air to lift the edges when printing at higher speeds. A warmer bed did help with adhesion

Wait

#

Bed movement can cause it too?

Thanks for the suggestions
Changing the bed temperature seems to be working so far and I hope I won’t have to deal with this issue again
