#OctoPi on new Pi ignores custom gcode (from file)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It seems like your custom start G-code is not heating up the nozzle properly. In OctoPrint, the placeholders for temperature settings can vary depending on your printer profile. You should ensure that "{material_print_temperature}" is the correct placeholder for nozzle temperature in your case.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can:
- Confirm the correct placeholder for nozzle temperature in your printer profile settings within OctoPrint.
- Verify that the G-code script is correctly configured to set and wait for the nozzle temperature to reach the desired level before starting the print.
- Double-check that the G-code commands are compatible with your Ender 3 v2 and Marlin firmware version.
If everything appears to be set up correctly, it might be beneficial to check for any specific plugins related to temperature control that could be affecting the heating process. You may want to review the OctoPrint logs for any error messages related to temperature control.

ok it is heating up the hotend now but still ignores the bed leveling part of the gcode
why are you using octoprint start gcode? why not slicer
and are you sure you are using UBL? M420 S1 is garuenteed to load the mesh
it is in the slicers custom gcode (cura) and yes I am using UBL
i tried it before with it in octoprint but it was always in the sliced file, the only thing that changed in my set up is the new Pi and fresh install of octoprint.
